Young Love

********************

Upcoming Pure Groove Instores:

10th March - Mystery Jets - 6.30pm
12th March - Josh Weller - 6.30pm
20th March - The Metros - 6.30pm
12th April - Grovesnor - 4pm

*********************

My oh my oh my oh my.

If you haven't heard any of the new Mystery Jets material, shimmy your funny little feet over to their MySpace and check that shit OUT!

It's mega. They pinched the Marling for their single Young Love, and song's a hit I tell ya. A bona fide HIT! Mystery Jets keep their style and sound, but add to it with charm and sentiment to create a monster song.

They're going to be popping down on Monday (10th March) to say hello, sing some songs and hopefully even sign a few copies of their new single, Young Love.

Don't show your support by getting MYSTERY JETS tatooed on your forehead. That'd be too much, and we probably wouldn't let you in.

Instead, just come down in time for the 6.30pm kick off, bring a beer if you like, and listen to some sweet sweet music.

AHOY THERE!

Holy moly!

Those naughty boys on Stolen Recordings will be coming to Pure Groove on Thursday 28th Feb - that's next week! Come bearing eye-patches and sentences contstructed around walking the plank, shiver me timbers and cat o' nine tails.

Tying neatly in with this instore is a prize of veritable booty; a hoard worthy of the wiliest old pirate on the seas - a guaranteed pass to the instore (you know how it gets busy), and a signed copy of the limited edition vinyl or cd - your choice.

Follow this here link to find out more.

First 5 emails only; how limited edition is that?

16th - Let's Wrestle (4)
18th - Kid Harpoon (6.30)
28th - Pete and the Pirates (6.30)

************************************

Busy busy busy! That's what February is all about. Thank goodness after January. Nature's busy too, the sun has joined us as well - yesterday I saw daffodils coming through, and crocuses peeping out.

Operator Please are all fresh and youthful too. In the springtime of their lives as my grandfather might say.

Operator Please look like they’re having way more fun than I did when I was in a band. Which isn’t really that hard as the guitarist in my band said he’ll ‘break our faces’ if he sees us again. These infectiously happy-go-lucky Australian youths entered a high school ‘Battle of the Bands’, then conquered the world via lots of great shows. Shimmy down to this one.

LOVVERS - Monday 11th February

LOVVERS hail from Nottingham. Their tumultuous mix of rock and a fiery brand of punk with a good few moments of fuzzed up soaring guitars will make Pure Groove sweat. And that’s what we want. The windows all steamed up, sweat dripping from the ceiling, and a palpitating heart when we go home. As part of their busy touring schedule, LOVVERS will be popping in to Pure Groove for a hot set. LOVVERS. Pure Groove.

The Duke Spirit - Saturday 9th February

You’ll get a chance to hear ’this venomous tongue’ at the Puregroove Instore Saturday 9th February. With their second album ‘Neptune’ penciled in for release in February, The Duke Spirit make their third appearance at Puregroove. Don’t miss the chance to see them at this free instore, and lassoo yourself a copy of ‘Neptune’. Sorry, that was awful.
